Say goodbye to CDs, tape decks, and, now, the beloved AUX cord. Bluetooth has taken over the next generation of car speakers. The simple, easy to use capability pairs exceptionally well with driving your car. No more fidgeting with tape decks, making sure CDs aren’t scratched, and untangling that AUX cord. By simply sitting in your car, you can have access to Spotify, Pandora, and phone calls. Using your Bluetooth to make calls will keep you out of a NYS defensive driving course.

Except it’s not as good as it sounds.

Setting up your car’s Bluetooth system is a treacherous task. It has led to the downfall of extremely intelligent people. This is not an easy feat. That’s why we’ve assembled the most skilled Bluetooth specialists around the world to create a step-by-step guide on how to enable your car’s Bluetooth. Unfortunately, one of the team’s specialists didn’t make it back alive.

Step 1: Find your keys

Finding your keys is highly recommended as you will need them to turn on your car. Turning on your car is a necessary step in accessing your Bluetooth controls. If you have trouble finding your keys, we suggest using a key bowl to gather pocket belongings in the future.

Step 2: Turn on the car

As mentioned in Step 1, turning on your car in detrimental to activating your car’s Bluetooth. The only way to activate your Bluetooth is through your car’s stereo dashboard or computer. That’s why turning the car on is dire. If only our specialist knew that…

Step 3: Identify your car’s Bluetooth functionality

If you’re driving a car that was manufactured in 2011 or after, chances are you have Bluetooth capability. To begin syncing your Bluetooth with your phone, you will have to access your Bluetooth sync menu. Every car has a different process. Therefore, consult the manual to learn how to access your Bluetooth sync menu.

Step 4: Enable Bluetooth on your phone

Before attempting to pair your car with your phone, you must first enable your phone’s Bluetooth. iOS and Android phones allow you to enable your Bluetooth from the drop-down menu or through your settings. This is the part where people fall into a crazed panic.

Step 5: Begin pairing from your car

With your phone’s Bluetooth enabled, you must begin the pairing process from your car. To begin pairing from your car, select the pairing or syncing option available on your stereo’s dashboard. Once the pairing has begun, you may move onto step 6.

Step 6: Select your car’s Bluetooth to connect

Now, back to your phone for a moment. With Bluetooth enabled and your car’s pairing process running, you will be able to see your car’s name pop up on your phone’s available Bluetooth connections. Select your car to be paired.

Step 7: Enter the numerical code into your phone

You’re almost out of the woods. Your phone will prompt you with a window requesting a code. Your car’s stereo dashboard will provide the numerical code that must be entered into your phone. When completed, you are finished.

Step 8: Clap your hands

Congratulations! You may now partake in the ritualistic celebration of accomplishment by clapping your hands together. You deserve the applause. However, don’t forget to take a moment of silence for those who have fallen.

Step 9: Enjoy!

The last step is to enjoy your new hands-free calling system and streaming music through your car’s speakers. If you wish to disconnect your phone from your car’s Bluetooth system, simply disable your Bluetooth function from the phone. You’re going to live forever!

flying cars
Since early 20th century, people have been looking forward to the day that flying cars would be feasible. For years, sci-fi television show’s time travelers knew they arrived into the future when they saw flying cars. Generations of drivers raised on The Jetsons have been waiting for decades for inventors to catch up to their imagination. Now it seems the day has finally come. A flying car, the PAL-V, is up for sale.

However, this may have been a case where people were so busy figuring out if they could that they never bothered to ask if they should. Flying cars are a very dangerous idea, and here are a few reasons why.

Lack of Training

Purchase of a PAL-V flying car costs $399,000 (for the more affordable option), and it comes with flight training. That seems appropriate, since the vehicle more closely resembles a helicopter than a car. But their website is somewhat fuzzy on the training process. The site boasts of beautiful training locations but doesn’t say how many hours are required. There’s no mention of what exactly is covered in the training. All it really says is that the training will be quick and easy.

In contrast, obtaining a driver’s license is neither quick nor easy, but that is to be sure drivers are safe on the road. We shouldn’t be lax on license requirements just because there are less flying cars. After all, there’s no online defensive driving course for flying cars.

Potential For Disaster

A car crash can easily be deadly, but there are also countless little fender-benders every day. Everyone generally walks away from those accidents, but imagine what can happen when those accidents are up in the air. Once gravity becomes an extra factor in collisions, what would be minor accidents on the ground become major accidents in the air. Plus, when that flying car crashes to the ground, there’s a good chance there will be a car underneath it. Unfortunately, most drivers are not prepared to deal with falling debris, which could cause an even bigger catastrophe on the ground.

That is just in the case of two drivers/pilots that have gone through the “training” crashing into each other. There’s also no information on the PAL-V website on what to do in the event of equipment failure. In a car, if a tire blows out or we run out of gas, we pull safely to the shoulder or, at worse, stall on the highway. If something goes wrong in a flying car, there could be people FALLING OUT OF THE SKY.

There are also drones to consider. Never mind the military drones, which are operated by people who have gone through the necessary training. The issue is the drones that can be purchased from a local electronics store for about $100 and operated from cell phones. Will the PAL-V hold up if a drone crashes into it? Will the driver have gone through enough training not to panic if a drone smashes their windshield? These are just issues that can result from accidents. These drones are given out as Christmas gifts. A child might not understand the consequences of intentionally trying to damage a flying car, and disaster could follow.

Ultimately, if the idea of flying cars is ever going to work, we need to have strict regulations. Right now, people are so excited about the technology, but proper rules haven’t been put in place yet. Drivers/pilots need to be given extensive training, and flight paths should be established to keep flying cars at a safe distance from each other. For now, the world seems barely able to handle self-driving cars. Flying cars may be a step too far.

odometer day ny defensive driving course
Every car has that ticking, mile counting device that measures the distance your car has traveled. Because of its ability to inform you how far you’ve journeyed, the odometer is one of the most beloved parts of your car’s dashboard. You may only use your odometer to determine how much money you’ll spend on car insurance or when you need your next oil change, but there’s a heartwarming story behind that beating contraption.

When so much joy and passion is built into one device, it deserves its own holiday. Just when you thought there couldn’t be anymore excruciatingly, specific holidays, there’s one more that’s rearing its magical headlights. May 12th is devoted to every car’s favorite measuring tool: the odometer.

Give your car an oil change and rotate its tires to show your appreciation for your odometer. While you’re at it, snap a pic of it to show off all those miles you’ve racked up over the years. There’s endless ways to celebrate Odometer Day.

Since you’re clearing the dust off your dashboard to get a closer look at that mile measurer, pull up a chair and listen to a heartwarming tale behind Odometer Day. It’s a story that’s been passed down through generations, and it’s as old as time itself. Well, as old as 1698 at least.

A Tale as Old As 1698

Once upon the year 1698, the odometer’s distant grandfather was created to track the distance of ships sailing across the Atlantic Ocean. Thomas Savery was the inventor of the first odometer. However, in 1775, Benjamin Franklin developed the odometer further to help measure the routes between post stops during his mail delivery commutes.

During the U.S.’s manifested journey west, a Mormon pioneer by the name of William Clayton used Franklin’s version of the odometer to track the distance his wagon traveled. He coined it as the “roadometer.” From there, the popularity of the roadometer rose as it was duplicated and attached to wagons used by caravanners traveling to the Pacific Ocean. If only they had a NY defensive driving course, they would be the perfect 18th-century drivers.

Throughout the years, the odometer was developed for the ever-evolving modes of transportation, where it finally reached its current state – lodged into the dashboard of your car. Some are mechanical, and some are digital. Some are used rarely, and some have been used every day for the last 15 years. All odometers are different. No matter what your odometer looks like, it’s part of a constantly changing piece of technology that has withstood the tests of time as an important asset for any journey.

Celebrating May 12th

On this day, every year, the magic of Odometer Day fills the hearts and souls of every driver cruising around the world. It’s the most magical day of the year as people become jolly and festive about their odometers. Children will lay out gasoline canisters and go car-to-car singing jovial hymns.

However, if you’re looking for something a little bit less merry, there’s plenty of ways to celebrate the most anticipated holiday of the year. A more secular way of celebrating is to pile on the miles by partaking in a small road trip to your favorite vacation destination. Another idea is sharing pictures with #OdometerDay on social media to commemorate all those hard-working odometers. However you decide to celebrate, don’t forget to take a moment to reflect on the journey you’ve made with your car.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of owning a car is adding your favorite accessories. Below we list some of the most popular car items for both drivers and passengers.

Tire Changing Supplies

Of all the items to put in your car, tire-changing supplies are hands down the most important. You’ll want to assemble a kit that includes WD-40, a spare tire, tire sealant, a jack, a lug wrench, tire pressure gauge, and a tire iron. This kit contains everything you need to change a tire no matter where you are when it goes flat.

Other Emergency Items

If you have ever taken a defensive driving course, then you know that part of the course includes having items in the car for emergencies. There are two items in general that you should never be without jumper cables and an empty gas tank. If you go through life and never have to charge a battery or you run out of gas, then you probably never leave the house either. In addition, you’ll want to carry the following items: first aid kit, water bottles, duct tape, flashlight, a small toolkit, and some reflective triangles.

Printed Maps

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know; you have a navigational app on your phone or built into your car. But how many times have you driven through an area with one bar or less on your phone? Believe it or not, they still print hard copies of maps. It never hurts to have a Rand McNally Road Atlas under the seat or in the trunk. This is the most dependable and iron-clad method of getting from point A to point B.

During the Winter Season

It’s bad enough when your car breaks down during the summer months. But being stranded on the side of the road can be deadly if you’re not equipped with the right winter-ready gear. Emergency roadside experts such as highway patrol officers, tow companies, and EMT companies recommend that you store the following items in the car between November and March: Mylar blanket, small snow shovel, an extra coat, something to help with wheel traction in the snow, ice scraper, snow brush, some type of fire starter if you’re in the woods, and some water-resistant insulated snowshoes. After all, you just never know.

The Little Extras Never Hurt

Below are some items that never hurt to have around even if you don’t plan on using them. For instance, purchase a reserve phone charger and leave it in the package. Place it in the glove compartment and leave it until you absolutely need it. Another item that valuable is a package of wet wipes for when you spill something in the car. You may also want some paper towels, a notebook and pen, umbrella, small tote bags, and a big thick blanket. No, these are not emergency items, but they can make your driving experience a little easier.

A Roll of Quarters

Payphone, toll bridge, Laundromat, late-night arcade run: You just never know when you’ll need a roll of quarters. If you have room in your car, then grab two or three rolls and place them somewhere where the rest of the family is not likely to find them. There’s nothing worse than needing coins and not being able to find them anywhere.

The Car’s Manual

The original manufacturer manual should be in your car at all times. It provides comprehensive information for a single component large and small. Whether you need to know what type of oil to put in your vehicle or how to change an alternator, your car’s manual will be able to give you a clear direction. If you want to go a little deeper, then we recommend you purchase a Chilton’s or Haynes automobile manual. This will allow performing heavy-duty repair or replacement for your vehicle parts.

OldRadio

These days, we can’t imagine driving even to the corner store without listening to either a channel on the AM/FM signal that comes through our car’s antenna or the bevy of satellite radio channels that are available.

But car radios weren’t always such a luxury. In fact, when car radios first hit the scene in the 1920s, they weren’t only expensive, but they were somewhat of an inconvenience. Yes, the first car radios appeared in Chevrolet cars – and they were so big that they barely even fit into the car when you accounted for the size of their speakers, antennas and batteries.

My how things have changed.

Despite their initial awkwardness, radio technology advanced over the next decade to where they became smaller and more easily integrated into vehicles for drive-time entertainment. Around the time radios became more widely accepted, however, they were also met with some ire. In fact, many legislators believed that car radios caused a distraction – so much so that legislation was introduced in many states to fine drivers listening to car radios.

Government gets involved.

Specifically, in Minnesota and Missouri, legislation was introduced to completely ban car radios. Other states like New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Illinois introduced legislation that would fine drivers found to be operating while listening to their car radios. None of the legislation ever became law – but it wasn’t for the lack of vocal support for such bills.

Much like how texting and driving and cell phone use is associated with an uptick in auto accidents, many at the time believed that car radios led to more accidents on the road. Those in support of car radios argued the opposite, and that listening to car radios kept drivers more engaged on the road. Those in support of car radios were eventually found to be correct in their belief, as no formal study ever connected listening to the radio in a car with an increase in auto accidents.

Should Car Radios be Banned?

There was no scientific data to suggest that car radios led to more auto accidents back in the 1930s when the issue was being seriously debated – and there’s no evidence to suggest that things have changed in the present day.

Yes, drivers aren’t without distractions these days – perhaps more now than ever when you take smart phones into consideration. But the car radio doesn’t just serve as an entertainment medium while drivers are commuting from Point A to Point B, it also serves a much larger purpose:

Informational

Radio helps drivers learn of accidents and weather conditions while they’re on the road, helping them to better navigate routes and plan. Drivers can also catch up on the latest local, national and world headlines as they commute.

Employment

The car radio has also led to a whole new entertainment industry. Radio stations these days are big business, and it is largely those that listen while they’re in the car that drive ratings, advertising dollars and success for said stations.

Entertainment

Just because it’s worth mentioning again, radio also helps entertain drivers while they’re on the go. In their cars, they can listen to the baseball game, their favorite pop, rock or country stations, or their favorite news station. With the variety of radio stations available today – not to mention the options that satellite radio also provides – it’s hard for drivers to not be entertained while they’re on the go.

Let’s Keep ’Em Legal!
We take car radios for granted today, but they were once nearly outlawed in some states. Yes, they can be a distraction – but so can just about anything in the car if not treated responsibly. For more information on minimizing distraction while you’re behind the wheel, contact our defensive driving course today.

NewLaw

In the current technology age, CA drivers have struggled to stay away from our cell phone screens, even for the smallest amount of time, including while we are driving. In the past decade, a few laws have been created to limit the use of cell phones while driving, in order to keep drivers and pedestrians safe. Current traffic laws in California require that individual’s use hands-free means, such as a Bluetooth device, headphones, or speakerphone, while talking on their cell phone. In addition, they prohibit individuals from texting while driving, including opening/reading incoming texts and composing/sending outgoing texts. These measures had been created in order to prevent distracted driving and un-needed car crashes.

Governor Jerry Brown has taken measures to broaden the restrictions on cell phone use while driving, since cell phone capabilities have expanded and become more sophisticated since the original laws were created and further restrictions are needed to limit distracted driving. The new bill that Governor Brown signed back in September goes into affect on January 1, 2017 and expands on the existing laws, encompassing other distracting activities, such as taking pictures, streaming videos, or checking their Instagram. The new bill prohibits the use of a cell phone for any sort of activity while driving, unless the cell phone is in a hands free mode. It will be completely illegal to hold and operate any sort of electronic device (including both smartphones and GPS devices) while driving. If individuals need to use their cell phone while driving for any purpose, they must follow a certain set of restrictions.

Mount

Firstly, the cell phone must be mounted to the vehicle, either on the dashboard, center console, or in the left lower corner of the front windshield. The cell phone cannot be mounted anywhere that either impairs the driver’s view of the road or blocks the possible deployment of airbags, in case of a crash.

tap

Secondly, if the driver must use their cell phone for any reason, the individual must use hands free technology, such as Bluetooth or the phone/car’s voice command function. If the individual must touch their phone’s screen for any reason, they are only allowed to do a single tap or swipe of their finger. In addition, only drivers over the age of 18 years old are allowed to use their phones under these hands free restrictions. Individuals under the age of 18 years old are not allowed to use their cell phones at all.

TicketCell

If an individual is caught using their cell phone while driving, a police officer may pull them over and issue a ticket. The base fine for an individual’s first violation is $20 and for every violation thereafter would be $50 each.

With all of this being said, please keep in mind that these laws are not meant to punish you, but rather to keep you, the other drivers on the road, and the pedestrians on the street safe. If you are going somewhere new, please make sure to set up your GPS before you leave the house and if you need to skip to the next song on your phone, make sure that you do so with only one tap and don’t take your eyes off of the road. In addition, no selfies or updating your social media accounts until you get where you are going. Distracted driving can lead to car crashes and even death, so it is important to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road!

DeLorean

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could zoom around town in one of those futuristic vehicles featured in popular science fiction thrillers and comic books? Plenty of people thought we would have flying cars by this point in time. Though we can’t yet traverse the sky in our own floating vehicles (unless you count airplanes), our favorite fictional characters have certainly been traveling from point A to point B with considerable style and speed. Without further adieu, here are the coolest, top fictional vehicles from worlds created by our top artists and writers.

The Gadgetmobile

Though the Inspector Gadget cartoon series only lasted a couple years, it is quite memorable. Ask anyone who grew up in the early to mid-1980s about this series and he will likely remember Inspector Gadget’s Gadgetmobile. Perhaps the most accessorized fictional vehicle ever created, the Gadgetmobile could do just about anything. It had rockets, an ejection button, the ability to fire sharp tacks onto the road, extendable wheels and so much more. Perhaps the coolest aspect of the Gadgetmobile was the fact that each of its features was voice-operated.

Kitt

Anyone who experienced the 1980s certainly remembers David Hasselhoff’s amazing vehicle in the Knight Rider television series. Known as KITT, this sweet ride was named after the popular series’ original moniker: Knight Industries Two Thousand. KITT could seemingly do it all, from interacting through voice technology to protecting Hasselhoff’s character from danger. KITT is the perfect example of what today’s autonomous vehicle creators envision in a futuristic automobile. KITT could process information with lighting quick speed, observe its surroundings, take over driving responsibilities and even make use of a grappling hook.

The Batmobile

Featured in comic books, cartoons and movies, the Batmobile is one of the coolest superhero vehicles ever created. The all-black Batmobile is equipped with an array of high-tech equipment including spiked wheels, jet engines and even a slide-out motorcycle. The Batmobile really is the perfect combination of a muscle car mixed with advanced weaponry and specialized gadgets. Some fans have gone as far as modifying their own sports cars to resemble the Dark Knight’s unique ride.

Christine

If you have read Stephen King’s novel Christine, you were probably awe-struck by the vehicle at the center of the story. The 1958 Plymouth Fury purchased by Arnold Cunningham turned out to be anything but a regular vehicle. Dubbed “Christine”, the car certainly had a mind of its own. It locked occupants inside, sprayed noxious exhaust fumes and generally wreaked havoc on anyone in its way.

The Master Cycle
Master Cycle

If you haven’t yet played Mario Kart 8, you are missing out on what is being called the most enjoyable racing video game ever made. The Master Cycle was made available in a downloadable content pack following the game’s release. Its front end is a protruding horse neck and face while the body is partially covered by Link’s signature shield. Give the Master Cycle a chance and you won’t be disappointed. Hop online for some worldwide racing and you will undoubtedly spot plenty of players riding along on this powerful and sleek motorcycle.

The DeLorean

Just about everyone has seen or heard of the Back To The Future movie series. Doc Brown turned a seemingly normal DeLorean into a time traveling vehicle that he and Marty McFly used to transition between periods of history as well as the future. The DeLorean’s time travel abilities hinged on a doctored flux capacitor that allowed the vehicle to reach the rate of speed necessary to travel through time. The vehicle certainly had aesthetic appeal thanks to its unique roof-connected doors that opened upwards rather than outwards.

What is YOUR favorite fictional ride? Let us know 😉

The most expensive car in the world is a $52 million dollar Ferrari 250 GTO purchased by a pharmaceutical start-up owner. While most expensive cars don’t come close to touching this price tag, there many others that go for a few million. Typically these cars are owned by celebrities. Ever wondered how much your favorite star shells out for a set of wheels or if their personality matches what they drive? Take a look and see!

Maybach Exelero
JayZ
Jay Z tops the list of expensive celebrity cars with his black Maybach Exelero. Maybach is known for being a high-end car, but there are many reasons that this car is more expensive than your typical car. First, it is a one-of-a-kind car. It was designed specifically to showcase a German tire company’s tires. However, its sleek design appealed to a producer who featured the car in a long running German show called “Cobra 11.” From there, the rapper Birdman bought the car. Jay Z eventually bought the car from him for $8 million dollars and featured it in a couple of his music videos… which has further increased the value.

Golden Bugatti Veyron
FloRider
Rap artist Flo Rida bought a 1.7 million dollar Bugatti Veyron and then further personalized it. At first, he invested in a chrome finish. Even the rims were painted chrome. But that just wasn’t flashy enough for him so he stepped up his game and went for the gold chrome. He coated the car in gold. It is also rumored to have 24 karat gold rims on it. It is estimated that the cost of the car and the makeover combined cost him 2.7 million dollars. However, while some people love the flashy gold car, others find it tacky. We will let you be the judge of that.

Lamborghini Gallardo
50cent
Despite having filed bankruptcy, 50 Cent still manages to have one of the highest costing sports cars on the list. He has a Lamborghini Gallardo that is worth an estimated $2 million dollars. 50 Cent owns the The LP550-2 Super Trofeo version of the car, which was designed specifically for the Hong Kong market. The car is rare, and importing it in to the United States makes it even more rare. There were rumors that he was trying to sell off the car during his bankruptcy proceedings, but he still has the car. But for the right price, maybe you could take it off of his hands.

Porsche 959
Jerry
Jerry Seinfeld is known for being an avid automobile collector. And with an estimated net worth of over $800,000,000, he can afford the most expensive cars on the planet. However, while he doesn’t have cars that match up to the million dollar price tags that some rap artists car’s cost, his Porsche 959 comes close. This rare sports car has an estimated $700,00-$800,000 value, which is nothing to balk at for us regular people.

Do you think each car matches it’s owner’s personality? How about: out of the four men listed above, which ones do you think got pulled over for speeding? We know that Jay Z and Seinfeld have been caught driving over the speed limit, but couldn’t find proof illegal hightailing from the other two.

Even though celebrities may be able to drive desirable cars they still have to go through the same undesirable experience of dealing with traffic citations. Luckily, there are many online traffic schools that make the experience easier and more fun. Your favorite stars have to take the same CA traffic school that you do to help dismiss their tickets. It will take points off of any CA driver’s driving record and also stop an increase in auto insurance rates. Look into other ways to save on your insurance and who knows, maybe you’ll put enough money aside so you can purchase your own dream car one day.

The automobile industry is experiencing a golden age of technology with a never-ending list of new gadgets and devices that make driving more efficient, convenient, safer, and just plain cooler than it was a few years ago. From electric cars that require no gas and driverless cars that require no driver, to cars that will stop without touching the brake and cars that can parallel park without breaking a sweat, the cars of the future are no longer fantasy. While most of these new technologies will become standard on new vehicles, what about that old clunker you drive? Not to worry, modern technology is so advanced now, it can even make your dumb old car act like a smart new car, with the click of a little device known as the OBD-II.

Help Me OBD-II, You’re My Only Hope

You may not know it, but your car is actually smarter than you think. Since 1996, all cars built and sold in the U.S. have been required to have an On-Board Diagnostic system called the OBD-II. This electronic system gives mechanics complete control over your car’s engine, chassis, accessories, and diagnostic functions. Originally introduced to make sure a car’s emissions met FDA standards, it was required by the government to have a universal port that any technician could easily access with the right equipment. Now that society has caught up with technology, these ports have opened up a whole new world of gadgets that can use on any car and easily accessed by consumers. Your dumb old car has just been sitting there waiting for its full potential to be finally realized!

Say Goodbye, Check Engine Light

It used to be that only your mechanic could make that annoying check engine light go away. He would just plug in a diagnostic tool and then count the money he was making with the time you thought it took him to figure out the problem. Shameful! Well, today is the day you take back the power because you too can diagnose your car’s problems with the touch of a button. By plugging a small OBD-II device into the port, it can do the same diagnostic tests your mechanic used to do. These devices, like the one made by can do all that and more, including direct you to the nearest gas station when your fuel tank is low, track mileage for work-related trips, remember where you parked, and call for help if you are in an accident.

The Death of Road Trip Bonding

Remember the days when family road trips meant suffering through hours of bonding with your annoying siblings by sharing in sing-alongs, playing I-spy games, and actually talking to each other? Well, those days are gone now that you can turn your old car into a wireless wonder wagon! Delphi Connect plugs into your OBD-II and can turn your car into a 4G LTE mobile hotspot where you can connect up to five Wi-Fi devices, such as laptops and tablets. Who needs 20 Questions when you can binge watch 20 episodes of your favorite streaming show?

Ruining Your Teen’s Life from the Comfort of Your Home

Teen safety tracking devices have been on the market for several years now. Companies like MotoSafety plug into your OBD-II port to track bad driving habits, monitor their whereabouts, send an alert if they drive outside a designated area, and will even let you know if they are doing donuts in the school parking lot. Spying on your kids has never been easier! But what about those unsafe texting habits? Well, companies like Scosche have you covered with a device that blocks cell signals and prevents devices from sending or receiving texts, calls, or emails while the vehicle is in motion. Sorry millennials, the good old days of engaging in unsafe behaviors, like your parents got to enjoy, are now a thing of the past!

The Smartest Move of All

Of course, all the gadgets in the world do not compare to having a smart driver in the car. One of the best things you can do to make your dumb car smarter is to complete a defensive driving course to learn better driving habits. If you decide to enroll in traffic school voluntarily, your car insurance provider might award you with a safe driver discount. Now that sounds smart!
