COLORADO TEEN DRIVERS ED

Yes, our Teen Drivers Education course is approved by the Colorado State DMV.

You must be age 14 ½ or older to apply for this course and 15 or older to apply for your learner’s permit.

Per CO state, students must spend a minimum of 30 hours in the course.

Your course certificate is good for 6 months. Make sure you apply for your learner’s permit before it expires!

No, you can complete the course on any device. You can use your phone, tablet, laptop, or any combination of devices!

Yes, there are multiple-choice quizzes at the end of each chapter. You’ll receive unlimited attempts to pass each one by getting a least 2 out of 3 questions correct.

There is a required final exam, but you are allowed multiple attempts to pass until you do by getting at least 16 out of 20 questions correct.

We will mail your completion certificate the following business day after you pass the course. Make sure you bring this with you when you apply for your permit at the Colorado DMV.

Once you complete our Colorado Teen Drivers Ed course and submit an Affidavit of Liability and Guardianship (Form DR2460) to the Colorado DMV, you will receive your learner’s permit! (More details on how to get your permit are in the section below.)

If you are younger than 16 ½ years old, take a behind-the-wheel course, then once you’ve held your permit for at least 12 months, drive a minimum of 50 hours (10 at night), then take your DMV road test! Once you pass, you’ll receive your driver’s license!

To get your Colorado drivers license you’ll need to bring your identification (click here for accepted forms), your SSN, and your residential address. Then after you take your physical, vision, written, driving test and submit a completed and signed drive time log your 6-hour behind the wheel training certificate (if required).
